Giving at Faith Baptist Church
Generosity is an act of worship that expresses our gratitude, faith, and love. When we give to the Lord, we put God first in our lives. This act is so much more than placing money in a plate or adding funds to an account - It is putting our faith in God.
Simply put, at Faith Baptist, teaching the discipline of generosity is far more important than the actual dollars and cents that are given.
Our God is a giving God.
He willingly gave His only Son as a sacrifice on the cross for our sins (John 3:16), lovingly offers the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ to all who will believe (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8), and generously gives us everything we need to live a full and abundant life (Romans 8:32; John 10:10).
As God’s children, we should desire to give.
Our giving is a reflection of the character of God. (Ephesians 5:1-2)
Giving is a response of gratitude for all God has done for us. (Matthew 6:21)
Giving of our resources is the biblical means for funding the furtherance of the gospel message. (1 Corinthians 9:1-14, 16:1-2; Philippians 4:15-18)
God has promised to bless us as we give. (Malachi 3:10; Acts 20:35; 2 Corinthians 9:8-12)
If Faith Baptist Church is not your church home, there is no obligation to give. However, for those who are members of Faith Baptist Church, we hope this tool will help you to abound in the grace of giving (2 Corinthians 8:7).
What giving opportunities are available?
You may designate your giving in any combination of the following categories:
Tithes & Offerings
A financial gift towards the general fund of the church helps with fulfilling our local ministry and contributes towards the furthering of the gospel in your community.
Your generosity enables the work of Faith Baptist Church. Your tithe supports the church’s budget and local ministries. To put it very plainly, your tithe will support your ministry team, staff, provide for the buildings and grounds, support our community outreaches, and discipleship efforts.
Faith Promise Missions
Faith Baptist Church we give toward the furthering of the gospel throughout the world. With over 50 missionaries serving worldwide, we use Faith Promise Giving as an annual commitment by the individuals of the church to support world missions.
Building Restorations
The Lord has blessed Faith Baptist Church with a long history of faithfulness, and has provided a beautiful property and buildings for us to steward as we accomplish His will for us. Many choose to give and support the restoration and improvement of our existing property through regular contributions.Â
Faith Baptist Christian Academy
For almost fifty years the Lord has allowed Faith Baptist Church to invest in the next generation by partnering with families in our area, supporting their homes through the education of their children based on biblical truths.
Bus Ministry
Over the years, the Lord has shown himself faithful in blessing our bus ministry. Each Sunday buses go out with faithful workers to pickup children and teens in our community. Giving towards this fund helps keep our buses on the road, and provides the materials necessary for a successful bus ministry.
Deacons Fund
The deacons of Faith Baptist Church maintain a fund that is used to help those in need within our church and community. When individuals or families request assistance with living expenses, our deacons do their best to assist and be an encouragement through financial support.
Love Offering
Throughout the year, there are many opportunities to support guest speakers, visiting missionaries, or special projects.Â
Giving Platform Transition
For the past several years we have used Tithe.ly to help with processing our online giving. Over the next couple months we will be transitioning to Nucleus. Both will remain available during the transition.
